Portrait Painting in Oil
Using the Zorn Palette. Feb. 8th, 15h,. 22nd, 29th, 2024 6:00 to 9;00 PM at Hipbone Art Studio. 4 Classes - in person series. $200 for series. Instructor: Mike Sowers On 4 evenings from 6-9 pm in February (Thurs. 8,15, 22 & 29) we will Explore painting people with a limited palette associated with Swedish great, Anders Zorn. The last 2 classes will include a live model. The primary objectives are learning to create a versatile range of colors from just 4 colors while improving ones ability to paint the head. For beginning to intermediate painters, drawing experience is required. Class limited to 10 students. The class will be taught by Mike Sowers with the support of Rodrigo Avila. Cost is $200 and includes model fee. All materials provided though you will be provided with a supply list for practice outside and beyond this series.
