This course is an introduction to the art of illustration. Students will learn conceptual, visual and technical skills for illustration projects. Class will start with an emphasis on basic tools and techniques and students will be working from both photo reference and a live model, Demonstrations and exercises will cover conceptualization, visualization, layout, drawing, light and shadow, mark making and color basics, Recommended for students with an interest in illustration and design. This class can be applied to a variety of mediums, including advertising, animation, comic books, graphic novels, editorial, and book illustration.
