Although color and paint can be intimidating for young artists, Laura's friendly, and fun teaching methods and clear, detailed explanations make this a great intro for students of any skill level. In this course students will learn how to transition from basic black and white drawing, to painting using safe, water based acrylic paint through the traditional method of grisaille (working in grays) tohelp ease them into the often confusing world of paint and color. Students will also be introduced to the basics of color theory, specifically the Munsell color system to help establish a solid foundation which can be applied to a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastel and all digital media. This class is recommended for both absolute beginners and those wanting to improve their current abilities.
